Federal grant allocated to foreclosure counseling (Quad-City Times)
Illinois Housing Development Authority board of directorsapproved allocating a $1.4 million federal grant to fund freeforeclosure counseling help for Illinois homeowners. The grant,provided through the National Foreclosure Mitigation Counselingprogram, will fund 5,000 mortgage delinquency and foreclosureprevention counseling sessions. Counseling will be provided by 39partner agencies.
